Little Canada!

What a weekend!! We really did have a fun packed weekend with lots of exciting and daring activities! The children were outstanding and challenged themselves to do things they never thought possible! Miss Walton and I could not have been more proud of their impeccable behaviour and attitudes all weekend. They were a credit to themselves and the school!

Here is just a snapshot of the weekend and the adventures they experienced!

PGL - Little Canada

The time has come very very quickly! It is finally here...! The weather seems to good for the weekend so hopefully the anoraks and umbrellas can stay in indoors once again. I hope the children are prepared for an exciting and adventurous weekend! Make sure you get plenty of sleep this weekend so you are ready for the weekend with as much energy as possible!

Please make sure you read the recent letter very carefully so you know all the details and ensure you have all you need for the kit list. Please do come and ask if you have any queries or worries.

Have a glance at the website to see images and long list of possible activities we will be experiencing!

World Cup Topic

In the mornings in year 6 we are completing a mini World Cup topic for numeracy and literacy!

Literacy:

We have already started researching into a famous footballer of our choice to write a biography. We are then going to watch a small section of a game in order to write a commentary, which will focus on our presenting, speaking and listening and script writing skills.

Numeracy:

In numeracy we have just finished our transition work to TBS of drawing accurate polygons. We are now going to begin constructing bar graphs and pie charts using World Cup data. We are also going to use this information to work out percentages to see which country really is the most successful!

Thanks to Adam for creating our match timetable, we are also keeping a close look on the games and their scores!
